- I forgot my Password. What do I do?
- Go to the Login page where you will find a link
Forgot Password?, and on clicking it, you will be
asked your login name, secret question and secret answer. After
entering the appropriate information and clicking Get Password,
the system sends the existing password to your email account if the input is valid.
- I took one exam and it worked fine, but my Re-Entry code no longer works. Why is this happening?
- Re-Entry code for Genesis Brains test can only be used once. For each paid test you take you will be provided with a new Re-Entry code. It is not applicable for free test.
- I abruptly got disconnected while taking the paid test. How do I start from where I was?
- If you were disconnected from a test in the middle, you can start from where you left off by logging to the home page and clicking the Re-entry option which will prompt you for entering the Re-Entry code which will then start the test from exactly where you left. But you should re-enter within one hour after disconnection.
- I abruptly got disconnected while taking the free test. How do I start from where I was?
- If you were disconnected from a free test in the middle, you can start from where you left off by logging to the home page and clicking the Re-entry option. You can then start the test from exactly where you left.
- How much does the test cost?
- The cost of each test for any subject is Rs. 100 for indian residents. For others the cost is 5 US dollars. The cost includes electornic certificate. Click here to see the payment instructions.
- Are there any free tests?
- Yes. A user can take a test free if he is registered. For each registered user one free test is available.
- How long does it take to take a test?
- Our online certification tests consist of 25 questions and the maximum time allowed is 25 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes depending on the difficulty level.
- When is a transcript number assigned?
- Each registered user is assigned ONE transcript number. The transcript number is made available to you in the test results page. You can make this information public if you wish others to view your scores.
- How do I make results available to general public?
- At the time of registration select the check box - I want my scores to be known to recruiters.
- What is Difficulty Level?
- Based on the complexity of the question, Difficulty Level is assigned. There are three difficulty levels for any question - Easy, Medium, Difficult. However, the user can choose Difficulty Level ONLY for paid test. For free test, the Difficulty Level is always fixed - ALL, which means questions random Difficulty Levels are displayed.
- What is the time duration of each question?
- Based on the Difficulty Level of the question, the time duration varies. It is 1 min. for Easy, 2 mins. for Medium and 3 mins. for Difficult.
- Is there a negative marking?
- Currently there is NO negative marking.
- Do all questions carry equal marks?
- Irrespective of the difficulty level all questions have equal marks.
- How often can I attempt a test?
- You may take paid test as often as you like, however only one free test is available for registered candidate. We recommend you take some time to learn topics that you were unfamiliar with before retaking a test, to improve your chances of doing better next time.
- What percentage of test-takers actually pass?
- Only 60% of those who complete a certification test become certified.
